Annette Strudwick

During my time working in the hairdressing industry, I have managed salons and trained staff, gaining vital people skills. Since having my children and helping my father nurse my late mother, I now run my own mobile hairdressing business. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2007, I had a left breast mastectomy, axillary clearance and temporary reconstruction (tissue expander) followed by chemotherapy. In April 2008 I had a free Diep flap left breast reconstruction followed by 5 years of Tamoxifen.

I have been involved with the support group since the very start in 2010, which has now evolved into the charity Restore. I have great pride and feel very privileged working alongside such inspirational and supportive volunteers.
