I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011 with a large lobular cancer that needed removal straight away. I had a mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy and continue to take Letrozole as an anti cancer treatment. I was told I couldn’t have any form of reconstruction for 2 years and so when the time came I was eager to see what the outcome may be.
I was so inspired by the ladies that supported me in this I wanted to give back and do that for someone else. I became a volunteer and then took over the role as Chair, of which I am very proud. I am very proud of all our volunteers who through their own journeys have grown into a confident, strong , supportive and inspirational group of women.
